How do you make and where do you get ingredients for homemade lotion?

Question by april_hwth: How do you make and where do you get ingredients for homemade lotion?
I found a basic recipe that calls for distilled water. Why don't I want to use tap water (because it has chlorine, fluoride...yeah yeah, but why is that stuff bad)? Where can I buy beeswax without ordering it from the internet? Want to just go to the store and pick it up. Where do I get plain lanolin? Vitamin E capsules?
